Managing Director of Monasa Development Consultants Jason Kasuto has worked extensively within the policy research and advisory fields. Mr Kasuto’s specialisation is within the area of policy analysis, formulation and management, he holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration (Policy Formulation & Analysis). His expertise has seen him working on various government and non-governmental organisation projects both in Namibia and South Africa around areas of policy and strategy development, youth development, economic sector review, and monitoring and evaluation. While being an independent consultant from 2007 to 2010 Mr Kasuto worked as Research Coordinator in the Office of the Vice Rector at the University of the Western Cape. Mr Kasuto has been an invited speaker at various local and international conferences. He is most recently invited by the Public Service Commission of South Africa as a guest speaker around the topic of indicator development for black economic empowerment in South Africa and Namibia; the conference will take place on the 5 to 6 September 2011, Johannesburg. Mr Kasuto is currently reading his Doctorate Degree focusing on the area of policy formulation and analysis with specific emphasis on black economic empowerment. He is also founder and Director of the annual Career Exhibition Namibia
Ms Pia Teek holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Stellenbosch she is currently a lecturer at the Polytechnic of Namibia. Her area of expertise is development management, policy research, monitoring and evaluation and community development with a focus on marginalised groups including women and youth. Prior to taking up a lecturing post, she worked for the Association for Local Authorities in Namibia (ALAN) where she was responsible for managing an international programme geared towards Capacity Building Training in Local Democracy and Governance. Her role was to provide ALAN with the overall programme development function, which included the management (planning and coordination) of ALAN/SKL (Swedish Partnership) Capacity Building Programme to support Local Democracy and Governance in Namibia.
Mr Awene is a Chartered Accountant (CA) (NAM) in practice specializing in Auditing, Accounting, Tax, Secretarial and Business Consulting services. Before joining the MONASA stable he worked as a Senior Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) for 10 years and has acquired vast experience in advising both government and private sector in areas of business process management, accounting, taxation, internal control systems, feasibility studies and business proposals. He has also worked with other institutions such as the Ministry of Mines & Energy and Telecom Namibia.
Ms Iiyambo obtained her Diploma in Accounting from Polytechnic of Namibia in 2004 and has worked as an Accounting Officer for Komeho Development Agency since 2004. She is currently Monasa’s Financial Officer. Ms Iiyambo is also pursuing her Bachelors in Accounting at the Polytechnic of Namibia
A product of the National Youth Council of Namibia volunteer programme. Mr Goraseb started his early career of as a volunteer from the Multipurpose Youth Centre seconded to Oxfam Canada Namibia in 1997 in the same year he obtained a Diploma in Office and Business Administration (Damelin). He then worked on a full time basis as an Administrator for Oxfam Canada between 1998 to 2008. He brings on board years of experience in project administration and logistic support which adds immense value in the smooth running of all projects undertaken by our team.
Ms Turipi fills the role of Secretary at Monasa, effectively handling all day to day administration as well as the provision of necessary support to the Managing Director and Monasa Consultants.
