MONASA Advisory & Associates Strengthens Ties with the Media

Windhoek, Namibia — MONASA Advisory and Associates, a leading research and strategic advisory firm renowned for its world-class services across Southern Africa, hosted an engaging networking event with prominent media practitioners on 4 July 2025 at Namspire Sports Village in Olympia, Windhoek. The event, held under the theme “Strengthening Media Relations,” formed part of MONASA’s broader stakeholder engagement strategy.

 

Specialising in ESG, corporate finance advisory, and management consulting strategy, MONASA stands out for its in-depth understanding of the socio-economic issues, strong stakeholder networks, and credible project delivery across multiple sectors.

The event aimed to build stronger ties with Namibia’s key media houses while enhancing MONASA’s visibility as an independent, forward-looking brand. It also provided a platform for the MONASA team to showcase their companies outlook to assist Namibia’s socio-economic development.

In his welcoming remarks, Mekondjo Erastus, Senior Research Analyst at MONASA, emphasized the value of collaboration with the media “In every industry, the media plays a vital role. We understand that we cannot walk this journey alone. That’s why we are excited to build bridges for long-term partnerships, trust, and shared understanding between MONASA and Namibia’s media community,” he said.

Media representatives from notable media houses were in attendance. The afternoon unfolded with team introductions, dynamic Q&A session and light-hearted paddle challenges, creating space for meaningful conversations beyond the usual professional settings.

We want to strengthen the bridge between MONASA and the media community—not as a one-time event, but as the beginning of a long- term partnership.

The media deserve access, context, and collaboration. And we are committed to offering exactly that. We want to clarify who we are, what we do, and more importantly, why we do it.” he stated.

In attendance, Charmaine Ngatjiheue from The Namibian Newspaper gave reflections on the importance of such initiatives “It is a well thought off event, I am glad that Monasa Advisory & Associates had this initiative for journalists, allowing us to get to know who they are and what they do. Such initiatives are needed for forging relationships. Overall, it is a good space for journalists to come together to unwind and relax, journalists appreciate that in the long run,” she note.

Additionally Donald #Kariseb mentioned that he applauded such platforms. “As journalists we also get to meet other media journalists and connect with updates of life beyond storytelling/reporting. Thank you Monasa for allowing this space of relaxation as well as bonding as we need to find that work balance at all times.”

The event concluded with the announcement of the winning team in the paddle tennis matches, which featured MONASA team members paired with media practitioners. The First

place media House was Confidente Hilya Shikongo followed by Confident Fransina Frederick and third place occupied by team Business Express Matthew Iilonga.
